This is a story about catholicity and love.
A remarried couple, with their respective daughters Xiao Qin and Tao Lan, live together. Tao Lan kills Xiao Qin unintentionally due to a misunderstanding and is put into prison. In the jail, Tao Lan behaves well and is allowed to go home for the spring festival after 17 years of departure from home. But in the bus stop, her father does not to meet her. Chen Jie, a young policewoman, takes great trouble to help her get to her new home. Her father is rather surprised, as the mother doesn't give him the letter from the jail ahead. Tao Lan knees down before her father for feeling sorry that she had killed his daughter accidentally and she is finally forgiven.
